01.4 Damping Ratio and Resonance
As soon as the damping ratio, $\zeta$ goes below $0.707$, we will start to see resonance. $\zeta = 0.707$ is the smallest value to have a constant $0dB$ effect like the following:

| As soon as the damping ratio, $\zeta$ goes below $0.707$, we will start to see resonance. $\zeta = 0.707$ is the smallest value to have a constant $0dB$ effect | Here, damping ratio, $\zeta=0.3$ and we can see a peak (resonance) in their corresponding frequency |
